ftp problem

Hello,

I have a problem with ftp. I have two AIX servers linked by an VPN connection.
The problem is :

ftp serverA
Connected to serverA
220 serverA FTP server ready.
Name :anonymous
331 Guest login ok, send ident as password.
Password:
230 Guest login ok, access restrictions apply.
ftp> dir
501 IP Address for data destination doesn't match client's.
425 No data connection
ftp>

Telnet and ping work fine but ftp doesn't.

Answer/Solution: The 425 error means that the data channel is blocked or closed between you and the server you are trying to connect to.

For Active connections open ports 20 and 21
For Passive connections open ports 21 and 1024+ (and higher)

Also, turn off command filtering on the firewall.
