Hi we are trying to set up ftp on a port other than the default ftp port. It is a windows 2000 server. We can get to the ftp site internally but not from outside the DMZ. We think it may be a firewall setting but have no idea where to start. This has to be set up to not allow anonymous access. We have been able to get it to work with anonymous access allowed - but even that isn't working now.Not sure what else to tell you as I'm just learning this as I go!

Without knowing what the firewall is, it is impossible to say exactly how you can set it up.

Generally though you open the firewall configuration program and allow access to port xxxx and point the routing to the server IP.

for IIS.
Open the IIS MMC snap in, Select the FTP Site -> Properties -> set IP address to (All Unassigned) -> set TCP Port to xxxx -> Security Accounts tab -> Uncheck "Allow Anonymous Connections"
