FTP in Windows XP

I want to set up an FTP connection with my friends computer on Windows XP to share files. Does anybody know a good website that tells how to do with with XP?

what about the ftp util in DOS?

type ftp at the dos prompt.

I don't think you need IIS. Becareful as I know MS will try to sell you stuff that you don't need.
eg Remote desktop sharing only avaible on XP Pro not XP Home. However VNCReal.com offers a similar utilitly for free. Only less security.
