Hi people,

I have a slight problem which I'm hoping somebody might be able to help. I have a user who updates the content our website. The problem is that she cannot ftp into the webserver from her machine when the dns servers are set to my servers. If I change the DNS servers to the Internet DNS server then it works?? I'm sure it's something silly but it's driving me up the wall as everytime she needs to ftp I have to go and change her DNS servers.

Thanks in advance

Please provide some more details here. Need to understand where the user and FTP site exist.

Use is inside the network or outside the network?

FTP site is on the LAN or a DMZ or on an ISP server?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

Sorry I'll be a bit more specific.

The user is on my internal network. Servers are on my internal network. They are trying to ftp into isp server. I hope this helps.

Hi,

I looked carefully into the DNS records and realised that I had the wrong IP address linked to the host record. Once I change it it was fine.

Thanks anyway
