I have two seperate partitions on another harddrive. I created a snapshot of one of them and sent the file to a nfs mounted system. After playing with the partition for a bit, I tried to create another snapshot of it and got the following error:

fssnap: ioctl: error 16: Device busy

I read somewhere that umounting /dev/fssnap/n sometimes works, but it did not work for me in this case

We did some experimentation with fssnap a while ago and from memory, we couldn't create a second snap-shot of a filesystem. The first snap-shot had to be deleted with fssnap -d ... , but check out the man pages. Sadly I cannot remember what errors occurred when we did this.

I hope this helps

Mike
