I script that runs under a directory called "SITETRACKING" that creates a folder on the server and copies files to it -works peachy.

HOWEVER---

When I execute this script under ANY other folder I keep getting the "Permission Denied" error in the line where I try to create the folder.

I have checked the directory permissions and they are EXACTLY the same.

Any other Ideas of how to resolve this issue as it is urgent to my company.

Thanks all,

J

A couple of possibilities...

1) Is there a directory of the same name already in the folder?

2) Are you absolutely positive that the IUSR account has got the required permissions to read/write/delete within that folder?

in answer...

1) NO
2) the IUSR account has full control of the folder

Is there any way to alter the account IIS uses for web applications??

This error is confusing the heck out of me!!!

Thanks All!

Do you have an antivirus program running on this? Specifically I've seen problems with Norton with Script blocking enabled.

How do you figure out what account your application is running under IIS?????

I think if I can figure this out I should be able to solve the problem.

It is always the IUSR_machinename account UNLESS:
1) You are using NT Authentication (at which point it is the account being used to connect via the browser)
2) You have changed it in the ISM

Another place to check would be to open the ISM from Admin Tools and right click on the folder or virtual folder, go to permissions, and make sure that WQrite permissions have been given. I think the two different sets of permissions are (should be) the same, but seem to recall having them not agree once or twce in the past.
