Im trying to export a server from one TSM server (sv3) to another (sv8)
Currently test-1 has the following Filespace and FSID on SV3:

FILESPACE_ID FILESPACE_NAME
5 \TEST-1\DATA

I want to export this filespace from SV3 to the other server(SV8)however on the target server(sv8)the node is registered and has also been backing up.

Therefore the filespace and FSID do not match ie.

On SV8
FILESPACE_ID FILESPACE_NAME
9 \TEST-1\DATA

Is there anyway to rename the filespace_id on SV3 without implicating the data.Currently running an export node fails without a relevant error message as the process hangs.

Hi!
I have recently done the same on a 5.3.2 server.
The Import command does only care about the FS name not the
FSID (according to documentation anyway ;) )
Thr FSID is used for renaming FSes with hex or unicode names mainly.
Did you use the option merge=yes?
Can you post your complete command?
/regards Daniel
