Frustrating Error message

I have a table that I'm trying to make changes to the data -
I keep receiving the following error message "error 'Error evaluating CHECK constraint'. in validation rule.

Problem is I don't see any validation rules on any of the fields in the table - I'm tyring to insert a look-up combo box in a text field - all I'm changing is from a text box to a combo box - what am I missing?

Any help would be appreciated

I've never seen that--in Access anyway. Is the table linked, ie Oracle or sql7?
