Some time ago I was experimenting with setting up FRS between DFS replicas, and then I decided to change the way I was going to do it. I removed the DFS links and shares but Event Viewer is still showing attempts by the FRS to replicate these shares:
"The file replication service cannot replicate d:\pcsetup because the pathname of the replicated directory is not the fully qualified pathname of an existing, accessible local directory" and
"The File Replication Service is unable to add this computer to the following replica set: DFS|PCSETUP"
This error messages are obviously because the share or directory does not exist anymore. The DFS links were removed prior to removing the share. In fact, these FRS links were manually removed from the servers in question using ADSI edit. I cannot find anywhere else that might be causing FRS to continue attempting to replicate this directory. Any ideas? Thanks!
