Hi all-

Does anyone here have this board- & can they tell me if I can hook up front USB & front headset/mic?

Looking at the manual, such as it is (screwy), I see a set of pins labeled "mono in/out" & wondered if I could utilize those? Or am I stuck with rear headset/mic?

TIA for any info,

Mom

You are right the manual is a bit vague. If your MOBO came with this it is worth a try, just make sure you jumper it for the device you are attaching. Also, it appears that you can use the front USB connector as there are additional pins available for the remaining two of four USB connectors.

Hi & thanks for your time,

Yeas, this has to be the worst manual I've ever gotten... most of the pics describing the jumpers, etc... are totally wrong!
They also show a default setting for the FSB which was wrong...sigh...

So, I go out of town on a trip & decide to find a new case-that's the first time I suddenly realized that I hadn't ever looked for the front headset/mic connectors- silly me assumed they were there- it's a newer board than the one I'm replacing & it (old board) has front HDset/mic.

Anyone else here know this board & can add to the info?

TIA,

Mom

Hi

I've got this board and i've just bought a new case with front usb's. The case came with wires from the usb connectors and i managed to wire it up, no thanks to the manual! If you look at the connector on the motherboard start at pin one (on the left, the side with 5 pins) this is vcc and on the cables that came with my case was red.next plug in the 2 data cables starting with yellow then green(these have to be plugged in the correct order)and finally 0v which is black. then do the same on the other cable and it should work! don't worry about the spare pin. I'm not sure about front audio connectors but hope this helps..

Hi, sounds like you have standard USB header configuration:

normal colours red white green black
VCC2 Data-2 Data+2 Earth2
0 0 0 0

USB Header pins

Pin1 0 0 0 0
VCC1 Data-1 Data+1 Earth1
red white green black

Don't know the motherboard to comment on head/mic conection
Martin

Replying helps further our knowledge, without comment leaves us wondering.

Well, I ended up getting a case I'd had before that I liked. It has front USB on this board but I don't see front HDset mic.

I'll have to assume it's not there unless I hear otherwise.

Thanks all-

Mom
