Ditto here. I actually will have 2-3 ASA sessions running to the same 8700 (multiple sessions assist with "stare & compare" needs). The only time I will be disconnected is if our network hiccups, since I'm on one LAN segment and our 8700 is on another.
Try this - open up a command/DOS box and issue a continuous ping request against the IP address that you connect to in ASA (ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -t). When you are disconnected from ASA, check the DOS box with the ping request. You may not be getting a response back during the "disconnect" phase, and need to bring this to the attention of your LAN/WAN guys.

I was having a similar problem with Definity V11 and ASA. It would disconnect about every 2 or 3 connections I would setup. Come to find out it was my ASA version having a problem with Windows XP. The recommendation on Avaya's website was to download the patch for the version 12 ASA I was using. I did this and I have not had any disconnects since!
Hope this is helpful.
