Freestanding database input

Hi

Has anyone written a "freestanding" database update app in JavaScript ?
ie: one that is can be used on someone's (webmaster ?) PC to update records in a database.

Some people will probably shout "VB6" or "VBScript", but I don't know enough about them to create the screens and processes.

An example to work from would be great.

Hi

I was hoping not to use serverside as it is not a web or intranetnet application.

My intention is to create a desktop application in JavaScript, as you would in VB6 or AccessVB.


Does it have to be done using serverside script routines ?
