I don't think so. You can probably get a learning program that may have a small edition of VID without a lot of functions, (bells & whistles,especially web publishing) but I doubt very seriously if you find a free download version. You can check at the your local software store for the learning program.
I'm just starting my journey into MS Visual InterDev. I went to the search engine Google and typed in "visual interdev tutorials" (with quotes) and it came back with a lot of sites. Since I haven't gotten to far into it, i didn't look at a lot of them, however when I did the same for VB 6.0, most of the tutorial sites did have code examples, but I'm not sure about a "trial" version.
