Our system has the following problems. This is the first one I noticed. It chatters away very noisily as if it is testing every port nearly simultaneously. After a reset, it will begin testing ports one at a time, but the chatter of relays soon grows to a din. This does not, however, seem to cause any problems with call processing. The second problem is more troublesome. Data modules randomly(as near as I can tell) go in and out of service. I know it's not a peripheral hardware problem because I've changed everything from the digital line card(including moving it to a different slot) all the way out to the RS-232 cables that connect to the terminating equipment. Also, I don't know if this matters but, the maintenance terminal sometimes stops for a few seconds in the middle of displaying something.
The system seems to work just fine otherwise. The software is R012i.01.0.411.7 with a TN2404/TN2401/TN2400 control set.
