Frames, Frames, Frames

Hi,
I have recently been using frames on my pages because of the severe better look to the sites compare this one no frames

with one i have done with frames

now i think the frames one looks so much better but as i see so many people complaining about frames what can i use instead, i want my sites to look professional but NOT use frontpage i hate all that extension rubbish!

these are COMPLEATLY diff. sites?what is there to compare?

look into "Iframe" concept or get used to "Save As..." or make a template....

Frames are not just about presentation. They can be used to maintain state/ navigation / loads of things.

As you are asking this question in a Dreamweaver forum and you hate Frontpage so much, btw so do I, I take it you want a DW solution to your presentation problem.

My suggestion would be to open DW then hit F1>Tutorials and do them all. Then have a browse round the net and when you see a site you like go to View>Source and see how they have achieved it.
