Im using timeremapping to slomo part of a clip. and frameblending to make it smooth. My problem is that when I use frameblending it sometimes look like two pictures in one. With one person and then the same person a couple of pixels away with a slight transparency. Is there any way to avoid this. Could it maybe be a codec problem. Im using DivX 5.10 now for testing, but final output will be DVD.

YECCCCCCCHHHH.

The problem with frame blending, especially on something as compressed as DivX, is "steppy" imagery.

Make sure you composite at the HIGHEST quality of video possible, then convert the PRODUCT to DivX. (why DivX when you're going to go to MPEG2?)

Check out the plugin: Re:Vision Twixtor for excellent morph-stretching. It's very nice and very clean.
