frame-relay map

I am using frame-relay map to map the PVCs between our remote sites. My S0 and E0 interfaces have different IP addresses.

When using the frame-relay map command, am I correct in my assumption the IP address specified is that of the S0 interface?

Yes. But you usually use subinterfaces for your frame
circuits.

example:
Using inverse arp:
>int s0.12 point-to-point
>encap frame relay ietf
>ip address 172.16.78.91 255.255.255.252

Your Frame-relay map statement ip address will be the Serial interface ip address of the remote router. What you are doing is mapping the PVC to the IP address.
