Hey I am currently running apache web server with 2 domain names. I can't get both pages posted at the same time however cause namezero sends out a frame with it's domain names which makes it pull from only one of the 2 domain folders. I f I switch to iis will I still have to deal with this issue? Please let me know cause I really need to get this fixed asap.
thanks in advance

This might be answered better in the Apache forum... [smurf]

I know the problem exists in apache. the question is will i have this same issue with microsoft IIs? So this is a question for this forum.

I didn't quite understand your question, now that I read it again I see what you meant sorry. :)

Now, from what I understand, you are using Namezero who forward your web requests to your server in a fullscreen frame to preserve the domain name in the address bar. Is that correct?

Could you look in your apache logs and see what the Namezero server is referring to your server as? Maybe post a little sample or something. I'm not sure if switching will solve your problem or not, but I'm sure we can work it through.

namezero opens the page as a frame like you say to maintain the domain names. The frame forwards to my IP instaead of the domain name meaning that when hosting more than one site on the same IP the second domain doesn't pull from the second domain folder. it just takes the default folder and loads the wrong page. I have been informed by a member of the apache server site that the problem is with namezero and cannot be fixed to work with any other server. I fear he's right but I hope he can be proved wrong.

Yeah, thats what I was afraid of... :( I have been trying to come up with something but whoever suggested that is most likely correct. Sorry.

Do you pay for the Namezero service? How about getting some free third level domains pointed to your box and getting them forwarded to that (kinda a long way to go about it) Do you have a static IP? What about some cheap DNS hosting to point the domains to your IP? [smurf]

I just read the threads in the apache forum. Wullie knows what he is talking about. The cleanest way to do this is to either have multiple IPs or have DNS forwarding setup (no-frames). It's a bummer that it will cost money. [smurf]
