Working with an old Point Of Sale program on a new system.
This is a new Gateway profile 4 system with a 120G drive
and P4 processor. The programs and screens all work well
except run very slow and after 10-12 enteries the system
stalls or hangs. Not a total lockup. Any clues as to the
issues involved? I suspect memory allocation, or disk drive
size but have never seen FPD run this way.

I have read the previous threads on FPD on WINXP.

Since you have already read the other postings here, have you looked at FAQ 15468 in the Universal Thread?

It is titled:
Recommendations for memory configuration for FPDOS/FPW under Win32 OS

Thanks for the tips ED, unfortunately those settings only reduced the duration of the hang time. Performance is about the same as a 386 based system. May be related to a specific type of command in the code.
Are there any config.nt settings required other than files?
By the way ,you show DPMI settings of 15,384. I think those should read 16,384K. Right?

Thanks Again
