First off, I had nothing to do with the development of the product in question, nor do I know Foxpro all that well, however, I am stuck in the unfortunate position of trying to fix a problem.

We have a FPD2.6a app running on a fileserver (foxpro files and data on a share) that was recently upgraded to Windows Server 2003. Prior to the upgrade, the server was 2000 and the application was running fine.

When run, the error message is:
Cannot execute <drive>\<share name>\FPD26\FOX.EXE

And nothing else. No event log errors on desktop or server, no generated error log files (as far as I can tell) and running the "latest" updates from Microsoft.

When I copy that folder to my local XP sp1 Pro machine, it runs just fine. Each machine in question also has that network FPD folder mapped in their system path.

Any information would be appreciated. This app has to remain on a network folder since a number of people access it.

Thanks.

It's substituted.

The drive is mapped, so as an example i:\dept\fpd26\fox.exe would be the full path to the executable.

None of them work. I have feeling the problem is with DFS in Windows Server 2003 since this particular drive is off a root.

I move the same folders over to another server (2003) not mounted through DFS and it works fine.
