I just seen this new product on the web, was wondering if anyone has seen it, it is suppose to keep the inside of your computer clean with disposable filters. Can anyone give me any input on it.

Looks like a neat idea, but I wonder how you mount it.

Silly question, but where do you fit it?

Only the truly stupid believe they know everything.

I don't know how it could work properly in conjunction with modern "multi fan" case design.

Most modern cases utilize at least two extra case fans (because of hot CPU's HDD's and graphics cards)
This unit appears to be nothing more than a couple of small 40mm fans, on in/one out with a filter in between, probably very low turnover (in comparison to the main chassis fans) so is only likely to filter a very small percentage of the total turnover volume going through the case.
So not much use.
If you are really serious about filtering air then the filters need fitting to those "intake" case fans.

You can buy air filters and install them in front of any PC fan that is acting as an air intake. It may not be as efficient as that device, but a lot cheaper...

Another thing to consider as well is noise. The more fans you have, the noisier. It's possible that noise was not a factor that the company considered when designing the device. So keep that in mind.

The idea is good, but the application is a bit poor. High end computers (servers and cabinets) employ the same idea to keep the dirt out. Standard computer cases have a fan inside the power supply that draws air in through holes in the case and power supply and blows it out the back (minus the dust caught inside) (put your hand behind the case and you'll feel warm air coming out). Next step is extra fans that duplicate the main P/S (power supply) fan. There are fans inside that use this drawn in air to cool the really hot bits. High end systems (usually set up in pre-filtered air conditioned rooms) use the fan in reverse to suck air straight through a filter and blow it out the holes in the case. So the air is filtered before it gets inside and keeps the case pressurised to keep the dust out. Because this system is used on big buck servers etc, someone is employed to regularly clean these filters because if they block up then no new air gets inside the case and the system can then be used as an expensive BBQ. Having both systems in one box kinda defeats the purpose. Consumers don't clean the filters so they get the standard system.
Cheers

@cdogg - I am not pushing the product, and I agree with most of you all, but the noise see:
The fans used in Compu-Clean are Magnetic Levitation Fans. They produce NO NOISE, NO VIBRATION and are SUPER LONG LASTING.

Ben,
My advice earlier wasn't saying that it would be noisy, just that it could be. Looking at what you found, I would still caution that an advertisement for the product should always be taken lightly with a grain of salt. I've come across other products with similar wording that turned out to be false or way off base.

The sales dept rarely talks to the tech dept, I've found in many cases...

cdogg,

You are correct, it could be... since I don't use such a device myself, I can't really say...

My setup has two 80mm fans, blowing on the HDD's at 7v (for noise reduction) and one 80mm fan as an exhaust (plus the PSU fan) both at 12v... I am not too worried about noise at all... I can sleep next to a siren... LOL...
