I have three DID's that come in which I then need to forward out to a Toll Free number.

Whats my best bet on doing this? Phantom or just forwarding a sets or creating an ACD queue , putting these 3 DIDs in it and forwarding the queue?

I use the ACD method and an IDC table then point the numbers to the ACD.

If I was doing it I would use Phantom's or ACDN which in turn is NCFW to the number. Doing it from the phone just opens you up for toll fraud.

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

OK so havign the phones already built , I just need to create an ACD queue, add teh phones to that queue and then NCFW it to 9+tfn ?

Actually what I wanted to ask was having had the phones built already can I just IDC them to the ACD queue or do I have to actually add them directly to the queue.

So those 3 DID's.. do people sit at those phones and if they don't get answered then forward to the 800# ?

Call Forward No Answer to the 800# may work for you also ?

Correct. No one answers those phones.
I just need to get hem to that TollFree number

Here is what I did.

Created ACD queue 3377
- set MAXP 1
- set NCFW 91800 rest of number goes here

LD 49
IDC
DID(4374) to ACD Queue(3377)

dialing this I get a busy signal so what did I miss?

Why don't you just take the 3 did's and make them each an ACD MAXP 1 NCFW to 9+ number?

Depends on system configuration.

If your trunks do not have the appropriate NCOS to make calls off-system, then you must increase their NCOS to be able to use ACDDNs. If you don't want to do this, then there is another option (which I'll mention below).

If your trunks do have sufficient NCOS to make the call, then you can use an ACDDN with NCFW (night call forward). The ACDDN (LD 23, NEW, ACD) should have a MAXP 1 and the NCFW should be set to your off-site number (e.g., 918005551212)

If however your trunks do not have the NCOS, and you do not want to increase the trunks NCOS value, then the other option is to enable CFF (call forwarding, forwarder) setting in the customer data block and use a phantom DN.

You should check LD 97, PRT SUPL to see if you have any phantom loops. If not, you can create one in LD 97. What superloops are available is dependent upon your hardware platform (it's different for Meridian-1 Option 11Cs than it is for other systems)

Once you have a phantom superloop, you can create the phantom DN in LD 20 as an analog set with CLS FNA CFXA, FTR DCFW 16 918005551212.

If you set up an ACDDN and discover that you cannot reach the toll free number as an external caller, but you can when you call the internal extension from within the phone system, then your problem is the NCOS of the trunks and the CFF/CFO option in your customer data block.

Again, options are to convert to CFF & phantom DNs, or to increase the NCOS on the incoming trunks so that they have the ability to make outbound calls.

If you've increased the NCOS and you still cannot transfer trunk-to-trunk, then you should look at the CLS on the trunk channels, you might have some restricted class of service.

You might also look at the route and check TRMB. If yes, an incoming call on route may be route directly back out on the same route. If call is incoming on one route and outgoing on another this does not apply. Just so you know, you will be using two trunks for every call to one of these did's.

Or on the NCFW use the trunk ACOD instead of 9, thats the way I do it.

Make an ACD for each DID number
MAXP 1
NCFW xxxx1800 rest of number goes here

xxxx is the Trunk ACOD

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Hey all!

Thanks for the help, based off what everyone said here I got it working perfectly by doing the following.

1. Made each DID an ACD
2. NCFW acd to the TFN
3. Used ACOD vs 91 dialing.

tested with the client this morning and everything went great!
