Forwarding Calls

I have a user who has an office phone and a VPN phone for his home office. His VPN phones gets calls that go to his office from a call coverage function that is programmed in it. Is there any way that he can forward calls (that go to his office) to his cell or any other # from his VPN phone?

yeah if he can connect it to the phone system, then he can log in to his office phone with it and set his forwarding.

Then hopefully the system also has vmpro

Make a shortcode start point in vmpro
Put in a menu action with $ as touchtone
Put in a generic action with CP0:$KEY and play a wav with something like type the extension you want to forward
Put inanother menu action with $ as touchtone
Put in another generic action with :CFG:Set $CP0 forward_number$KEY
Also put in a wav where you are being asked to put in the number to forward to

Then another generic action to turn on forward unconditional with CFG:SET CP0 forward_unconditional 1

You could put in a menu to choose if you want to turn it off,on or change the number

Setup takes some time put then you do not have to use phonemanager every time !

you could also set him up as a hot desk user and he can log his extension into the VPN phone. thats what i normally do is set the VPN phone up with a dummy base ext and then have the users hot desk between phones.
