Hi,

One of our employee's has left and it's been requested I forward his phoneline to his associates set. I'm pretty sure I did this wrong.

I went into Site admin and ran "Change Station XXXX". I selected Tab 4 and added the extension XXXX to button assignment 10 - "Send-Calls: ext"

Will this forward the calls to the other attendant's set, or will I have to do something else?

Sorry, this is inherited admin. I normally only admin Norstar/Cisco equipment.

Thanks to all in advance! :)

An easier way would be to use the Call Forwarding feature. From the station to be forwarded: go off hook and dial the call-forwarding all code [dial tone] dial the extension number that you want the calls to go to [confirmation tone].

4merAvaya....Thank you for the response. I handle everything remotely. This facility is in another state. I do all the admin via Site admin tools. Otherwise I'd do that option in a heartbeat.

you can activate a button with

list trace station 1000/10

this will activate button 4 on station 1000
(button nummer +6)
so program a autodial with the feature acces code for call-fwd and destination.

Do an status station 1000 to see on page two if the station is callforwarded and destination.

Big70....thank you for responding.

When I type in list + anything after, my return is empty and the GEDI window left bottom corner says "command not supported by GEDI; use emulation

So, then, close your GEDI window (click the small X in the top right corner underneath the main window X button). Then on the left side, click on the Advanced button (about 2/3 the way down the left side of the screen), and then select Start Emulation.

You have to use Terminal Emulation for a certain number of commands, usually the real time commands, e.g. MON TRAF TRUN.

QUOTING=big70 you can activate a button with

list trace station 1000/10

this will activate button 4 on station 1000
(button nummer +6)
so program a autodial with the feature acces code for call-fwd and destination.

Do an status station 1000 to see on page two if the station is callforwarded and destination.

I'm assuming 1000=The subscriber number and 10=The button number?

yep 1000 = extension number 10 = not the button number!!!!!

It,s button number + 6 so button 4 is 10

don,t ask why i think because you can have 6 appearance buttons.

This is all I get when I run this command: list trace station 8xxx/10 in emulation

List Trace
Time Data

Then when I run the next command: status station 8xxx, this is what i get with no next page

Crapola, we were this close too. Thanks for the start though.

Just the old phone guy here.
Why not assign the POTs number in the night service field and keep the attendant position in night service. Then if you ever have to resurrect the attendant you just press a key.

I think is worth a test
Hope this helps

Ok, I was kinda second guessing myself on that. Wondering if I worded something wrong.

Hi, still an issue. Can anybody help with call forwarding?

Thank you

why can't you just have them go to the phone and forward it where they would like to send? It seems like you're trying to turn a mole hill into a mountain. *xx xxxx and be done with it...

Assign a DID to remote access give it console permissions in the cos dial in,dial the forward FAC,the extension to forward, and the destination and your done

OK old phone guy again. Why not try telecommuter. On features page populate the codes below:

Extended Call Fwd Activate Busy D/A ??? All: ??? Deactivation: ???

Replace the ??? with codes 123 124 125 ETC.

Then Translate the Telecommuter See below:

Telecommuting Access Extension:

Make sure that the extension has a security code.

Steps to do remote call forward

1 Dial telecommuter extension
2 Enter call forward access code
3 Enter extension followed by #
4 Enter extension security code followed by #
5 Enter the forward to number Beep Beep Beep.

To undo follow steps 1 to 4 replace the Activate code with the deactivate code.

Oh one more thing make sure the extension COS has Y's in the Extended Forwarding All and Extended Forwarding B/DA

Works Well for Me
It's worth a test
Thanks

@ Blight ~ I do all of this remotely from PA. They are in OH. I know nobody there and would have no idea who could help.

@1a22ip ~ Please keep in mind, my admin responsibilities were inherited. Outside of changing vm pw's and deleting lines. I have no idea how you program. What are you in to do this GEDI or emulation? I don't see a features page in GEDI when I "CHANGE STATION 8XXX
