I'm having some seriously exhausting issues trying to get a simple phantom extension to forward to an 800 number. I've found information after information on this but can't get anywhere. Once piece of information suggests using "HOT D" for the FTR but I can't do that because I can't enable MBL because I can't (or at least don't know how) remove DTN. Here's the print out if anything has suggestions.

First of all remove the Hunt programming and try it. All you should need is the DCFW in FTR

@KCFLHRC: It's not removed.

@Gibblett: It's changed to FTTU.

What I'm noticing is that it's giving me a message that says "Forwarded to a voicemail system. However, the person at xxx-xxx-5410 does not subscribe to this service."

Here's the updated configuration:

ok try building a new ACD instead...

LD 23
new
acd
cust
acdn xxxx
mwc yes
ims c/r
maxp 1
c/r til NCFW
ncfw 9 xxxxxxxxxxx
c/r til end....

do remember tho do not make a CHG with ACD as this can cause corruption, always OUT & rebuild.

What happens if you call the toll free number direct, do you get the same response?

@Gibblett: Thanks. I'll give that a try.

@trvlr1: When I call the toll free number directly I get the actual greeting message that I'm expecting with this forward.

@Gibblett: I tried your suggestion as well as another I thought to try but I'm continuously getting to the Call Pilot prompt. I've tried tracing the call but commands I've used don't show much / anything.

Instead of putting in the 9 for BARS try putting in the access code to the route followed by the number you want it to dial.

it's giving me a message that says "Forwarded to a voicemail system. However, the person at xxx-xxx-5410 does not subscribe to this service."
So you aren't having trouble forwarding. The voice mail at the destination is seeing the dialed number as xxx-xxx-5410.
The easiest fix is to enter xxx-xxx-5410 as an extension DN in the mailbox or into the SDN table of the destination CallPilot and point it to the correct application.

@StanleySteamer: That worked beautifully.

Thanks to everyone for all the help!

If this is an internal voice mailbox, why are you forwarding to the toll free number? Potentially you could be now using 3 lines for every caller in to that phantom,
1/inbound to the phantom
2/forwarding to the toll free
3/line back in to your building.

Why not just transfer the phantom to the extension the toll free number points to, potentially saving 2 lines per call.

@trvlr1: I tried doing so but even that results in the voice mailbox message.

Wait - you are forwarding to CallPilot on the same system?
Then you just need to DCFW 5410 to the main CallPilot DN and make sure 5410 is either an SDN or an ext. DN on the appropriate mailbox.
Like trvlr1 says, you're just using up trunk channels if you forward to the toll-free number.

CallPilot always treats the call based on the DIALED number. Forwarding externally doesn't get around that because the PRI still carries the originally dialed number

You would still have had to enter the number in the mailbox as you now have, to match whatever the PBX was seeing. I was trying to make sure that if you had 3 or 4 calls to this number, you were only tying up 3-4 lines, not 9-12. You will run out of circuits very quickly that way, then have to spend to add lines with no reason.
