I have an Exchange 5.5 server in Canada that is our main server for North America. IMC is configured and works fine. We also have an Exchange server in Australia which we connect to using an X400 connector to synchronize Public Folders and GAL information. I configured my Exchange mailbox to forward a copy of inbound email to my BlackBerry's external email address as well as my internal Exchange mailbox. I have noticed that some but not all of the messages being forwarded to my BlackBerry seem to originate from the Australian Exchange server as I receive their disclaimer at the bottom of the messages and not ours. Other BlackBerry users on our server are noticing the same problem and I am not sure how to correct this.

Is there any way to restrict outbound Internet email so that it can only be sent from my server and NOT the Australian one??

In the IMS Properties, there is a scope setting - use Site to restrict it your local site only.

Sorry, but can you be a bit more specific as to where I can find the Scope setting?

IMS Properties, Address Space tab, click the * entry to select it, Edit, Restrictions tab.

They've hidden it well!!

Thanks for the info...I believe you have corrected my problem!!

I spoke to soon. The system is still routing some messages through our Australian server. Any more ideas??

Have you stopped and restarted the IMS service? It usually needs that to read changes to its config.

Thanks for the input. I believe I solved it once and for all by enabling least cost routing on the MTA and setting the X400 connector with a cost of 10 and the SMTP with a cost of 1. All mail seems to know flow out through our server and not via the Australian server.
