Forward voice mail from general delivery to another extension

Hi,

I am a newbie when in comes to norstar voicemail system, I wonder if somebody can help me on how to forward voicemail from general delivery mailbox to another extension mailbox number.

I will greatly appreciated any help.

Press '5' during or after the message,then you can record an intro if you want, then enter mailbox number you want it to go to.
 
Thank you, I am sorry for not explaining properly, what I want is to forward the message everytime there new voicemail automatically. Is it possible for the General Delivery mailbox to have it forward it to a different mailbox automatically? Our general mailbox is on mailbox 100 and we can't check if there is a new message unless we go to the mailbox, I am thinking if we can forward the message automatically to the extension of our reception phone so that it display to the reception phone if there is a new voicemail coming in.

 
you can change the extension in the general mailbox to match your receptionist. so she would have ext XXX but her mailbox would be 100. if you change the ext in mailbox 100 it would light the lamp on her phone everytime there was a message in the box. Just be aware if you do this anyone that does not know where to go and gets put into the general delivery box it will play her greeting.

I do not know of a way to set up a auto forward on the general delivery box. This is what we usually set up for our customers.

Thank you bubbaaa that will definitely works, however I am still looking for and auto forward of general delivery mailbox to a different mailbox number.

 
You can't auto forward a message from one MB to another. You can add alternate extentions on a MB, so if it gets a message it will show a message on that phone too, plus you can access the MB from that phone but the alt. ext cannot have another MB assigned to it.
 
Thank you cook1082, how do I do that? I tried to assigned general delivery mailbox 100 to another extension number and it won't assigned, it telling me that the extension number is already have assigned mailbox which is true, that is why I am looking not to assign mailbox 100 to an extension rather forward it to another mailbox. So how do I auto forward messages from mailbox 100 to another mailbox?
 
This has been a dilemma for nortel techs for a long long time. If you change the general to the receptionist's extension, then they have only 1 box to check, but no personal box. If they want a personal box, then they have to check 2 different boxes, 1 of which doesn't give a visual message light. If they truly have to have 2 boxes, the best way is to set up message notification on the general box. Set the outdialing number to be the receptionist's extension. That way, when there is a new message, it will call the phone to notify them. There is no auto forward.
