Hi There,

IP 40anything
Firmware 3.1(56)

Have noted the Forward unconditional feature now brings the forwarded call back to the originators voicemail box. Anyone else noted this and is this new "intended purpose", rather than actually forwarding the call unconditionally as the name of the function suggests?

Cheers

this is a feature that had existed in the past & then got broken
Avaya have now restored it to correct operation

Unfortunatly it does mean that you havee to set the No Answer time correctly if you wish to forward to Mobiles or other locations with their own VM

One posible work arount is to set the VM to E-mail the mobile phone with an alert that a msg has been left.
The usere can then call in & retrive his msg's remotly

There is work arounds but it just doesn't suit most users applications. 1 out of 50 want it to return to the users voicemail. Avaya should break this feature again and use follow me forward to bring the call back to the system.

Just my 2 cents

Anyone else agree ?

if the call didnt return to the originating Mailbox it would also affect internal diverts & this would cause complaints also
I suspect that more useres transfer internaly & would want calls going to VM if not answred.
what we realy need is an option to enable & disable as req.
