Forward print requests

Is it possible to have a Win2k server forward all print requests to one printer (that is down) to another printer? This way users don't have to change settings or pick other printers.

Yes if you go into the printer settings you can add in a new port on the Ports tab.

If you add a port which is the ip address of another printer the documents will be automatically forwarded.

I think it helps if you point them to another printer that uses the same driver.....!!!

Unfortunately the printer I want to forward to is installed locally on another computer and shared across the network because it doesn't have a NIC.
