what do you mean by "forward"? if you need a scenario like "user picks up the handset and some AD entry is dialed automatically", then you need to set up hot line on the third page of the station screen, it's pretty basic and self-explaining. if you need to forward all calls to this station, well, that's another story altogether. you have a lot of choice: coverage paths, remote coverage if you want, call forward options, send all calls and so on.
I am trying to call a virtual 2500 station that has an extension that is its DID then have the station set to forward always to a abbreviated-dial system list entry. The entry dials a hunt group pilot number then pauses and dials the 4 digit DID of the virtual 2500 station. I am doing all of this to regenerate DTMF for a brooktrout card that I am using in my rightfax server. By regenerating DTMF I can route faxes to the appropriate user.
You set up a abbrv dial (system) code, then on your form for the 2500 you setup the abrv dial list for system, then put in the dial code on the form.. that should do it.
Below is a cut and paste from page 3 of the admin form for the station.

Yes that is the first thing we tried. The problem with the hot destination is the virtual 2500 has to go off hook to send it the the abbreviated dial list

here's the possible solution:
1. try 'disp sys cust' and see if you have basic vectoring option enabled.
2. do 'list vector' and see if there are any used vectors.
3. if there are, then note the next available vector number and do 'change vector <this_number>', else just 'change vector 1'.
4. make it simple:
01 route-to number 7699~p7640 with cov n if unconditionally
5. kill your virtual 2500, it's not needed, and do 'add vdn <2500's number>'.
6. set the vector number and save the changes.
now you should have vdn with an extension number that you can call and it will redirect your call dialing that string above. if you have r8 or higher, you can also check how it works using list trace command.
good luck.
