Im having trouble with the sizing my userforms. The form I have set to open on startup always maximizes when I open up the database, but I need it to stay in the normal reduced size. In a different Access project I was working on, I was able to do this succesfully, so I know it can be done, but I can't remember how I did it, and I can't find any differences in settings, properties, etc. between the two projects that would cause this to happen. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Joe

Hi there

I had similar problems on a A97 project I was working on. This is how I set my form up and it works OK. Basically, after making the amendments to the form, you need to save it in its reduced size in design view. This way it will keep the same size whenever it is opened.

Have a look at the help for the AutoResize property of a form and it explains how this works. Below are my form settings, hope this helps.

Autoresize - No
Autocentre - Yes
Control Box - No
Border Style - Thin

Thanks for the help Missy

I also found another solution to my own problem. In the autoexec macro, there is an OpenForm entry which handles opening the start-up form. In Macro Design View, under Action Arguments, I changed window type from normal to dialog. This fixed my problem
