Hi--I have been racking my brain on this for a while and it turns out that it's a host issue--I have no problem using formmail.asp on my work website, but can't use it for a client hosted by Network Solutions--they tell me the script needs smtp authentication--I found this:

which seems like the solution but I cannot configure it properly I guess--

my form:
my scripts:
the original that has no smtp authentication

sample script from isq

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated :)

Suggest you post some code - we can't read links to ASP pages!

Well it looks like everyone's standard formmail with an added check for HTTP_REFERRER. The notes on the source site say
brainjar said:
Note: A browser or firewall may be configured to block the referer header on HTTP requests. This means that some users will not be able to use the form. You can leave the array empty:

referers = Array()

to make the script skip this check.
Maybe worth checking that out next.

BTW I asked site management to change the password you showed in the script in case it was the real one!
