Formatting media

I am a newbie to Backup Exec. We have site with version 10 of the software.

As we are running low on media,I need to know how to format media that is not yet expired. Is this possible either through the GUI or command line?

Put the old tape in the drive, inventory it, and then label it. No need to format, a re-label job will wipe the headers clean and reset the media protect time.
