When I select a whole sheet, and use menu Format|Rows|Height, then enter 15, it sets all rows to a 'normal' height of about 1/4 inch.

YET...when I do the same thing for Columns, and enter 15, it makes all columns about 1 1/2 inches!! When did 15 change?? Now I'm sure they're using some different measurment unit--but why??...and how can I change it to be the same unit for both rows and columns?
Thanks,
--Jim

Columns widths have always been measured differently as compared to row heights.

To find the ratio to points you need to do a bit of arithmetic .... this sets column B to 15 points width ( mind you, that is very narrow ):
Code:
 ratio = Columns(2).ColumnWidth / Columns(2).Width
 Columns(2).ColumnWidth = 15 * ratio

Cheers, Glenn.

Did you hear about the literalist show-jumper? He broke his nose jumping against the clock.

Glenn,
Thanks much...I guess it's just another one of those lovely features that keep things interesting.
