Formatting 120GB Mirrored RAID Array

I am in a bit of a time crunch and I need to format a brand new 120GB mirrored RAID array. (Two 120GB hard drives) These drives have never been formatted before, can I, and would it be a bad idea to perform a quick format on the drives?

This will not work unless the drives have been formatted before.
A quick format will tell you that you have the format them fully It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenious.

Actually, due to time contraints, I decided to go with the quick format and it worked and the server is up and humming today.
