Formating Flash memory

Hello,

I have a new 16MB flash memory for cisco 2610 and i need to format it before to put an IOS on it, is there somebody who can show me how to format a new flash memory ?

Don't believe you have to do that on that series router. Put the new chip in the go to the following site:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/471/76.html

Or setup your router prior to shutdown to boot the IOS from tftp server. That way you dont need to worry about the rommon procedure and can easily tftp IOS to flash.
