I have a horizontal bar chart that has division names on the Y-axis. Can I individually format one of the names to be bold or a different text color? I would like to do this without VBA if possible

Thanks,
Sam

This is a terrible kludge and not necessarily a good way. (I haven't found a chart option that will do this)

Format your axis font to white with a transparent background. Put textboxes on the axis and format how you want.

Live once die twice; live twice die once.

You could format the axis to have no labels, and then format the series to have data labels ( Show Labels ). You could then format an individual label. The positioning of the labels can't be made to mimic the position of axis labels ... but you can have the alignment of the data labels as "inside base", which puts them just the other side of the axis.

Cheers, Glenn.
