Hi,

In the format section option,
in the details section, there is an option,

Hide(Drill down OK), may I know what's the use of
this option? How do I make the details to be
hidden but can be drilled down by clicking
on it??

You asked: <<How do I make the details to be
hidden but can be drilled down by clicking
on it??>>

This is the purpose of the Hide option. It will supress the details, until you double-click on a group, then it will show the details for that group.

Hi Chris,

Is there anyway for the details to be shown on the same page??

Hi,

also the hidden effect is gone when I export the report to html file.

Cant see the details anymore.

Does anyone know how to create a drill-down report that can drill the details on the same page and then make it still works when exported to html format.

Thanks
Jerry

I wish I had better news for you. The drill-down funtionality is not available in format which don't natively support drill-down. In other words, if you export to MS Word, you loose the info which has been hidden, because Word does not support drilldown. I don't know of any export format which does, except Crystal Reports format.

As far as seeing the details on the same page, I assume you are referring to the "tab" that is created to display the drilldown contents? If so, then no. That is how Crystal is built. Now, with a little imagination, you can format your drilldown sections to show your headers, footers, etc so it looks more like the normal page.

I hope this clears it up a little for you. Chris
