I have a mail merge using date from a query script in Access. All works OK except the date field.

Checking the query results shows a normal UK date dd/mm/yy, but in the merged word document a 00:00:00 time is inserted after the date.

Has anyone advice on how to format the date field so that a time is not shown?

You can try something like this:

Or you can write the query in Access to provide a different format (I dunno how to write them format statements anymore).

Or you can just move here to the US where we write our dates NORMAL!!!!

LOL. I love to bust you guys on your bad spelling habits too.
LOL LOL LOL

Hope you know, I'm joking around.

I had exactly the same prob.. It's a dead easy fix. Go to the word doc and press alt F9. This displays the formatting info. Just delete the time field. You can get any format of the date ot date/time you require.
