format a field in a query string

I have this field where it concatenates a bunch of fields with tabs between then. The DIAGNOSIS field I need to format to a certain way using this !@@@\.@@ basically putting a period 3 characters in.


claimline: [DESCBETOS]![BETOSDESC] & Chr(9) & [ARGUMENT_CLAIM_LINE]![FROM_DATE] & Chr(9) & [ARGUMENT_CLAIM_LINE]![TO_DATE] & Chr(9) & [ARGUMENT_CLAIM_LINE]![SUBMITTED] & Chr(9) & [POS] & Chr(9) & [DUTS] & Chr(9) & [DIAGNOSIS] & Chr(9) & [SERVICE]
I need to format this field in this string
 
Have you tried to play with the Format function ?
... & Chr(9) & Format([DIAGNOSIS], '!@@@\.@@') & Chr(9) & ...
