Hi,
I have an Access 2000 database that has many forms. They are all different sizes and some I maximize (with code) when they open, then restore when they are closed. But the constant sizing and resizing of the forms can be annoying when clicking through several forms.

To me, it doesn't make sense to have them all the same size, since some forms only have a couple of fields on them.

How do others handle form sizes?

Thanks!

I personally prefer to only make each form as large as necessary for the controls on that form, otherwise, it's wasting space - unless it is your company's policy on that to cover everything else up.

Really, if not given direction from whomever you report to, then it's just a matter of taste.

If there are other users of this database, I would ask their opinions - that tends to give the best feedback.

I do have a question, though: If you want the form maximized when opened, why do you then restore it after closing? It would seem to me that is rather unnecessary.

Hi there,
I try to use one size for the entry forms which the user can maximize but not minimize (can not be moved). Popups I also (try to) use one size, which can only be closed and are (most of the time) are modal (can be moved). Furthermore I try to make the layout of every form standardized (place and type of buttons, comboxes etc...)
