I am trying to open up a report in a db which I built in Ac2000 but have converted to Ac97. Now it seemed to work fine in both versions but now when I open or try to open i get this error

'@It contains data that ISDN Watch Reports doesn't recognize.
Re-create the form or, if you maintain backup copies of your database, retrieve a copy of the form.@@1@@1'

Anyone got any ideas why ??

Cheers

does the report obtain any data from a sub data sheet?

No it gets data for a chart from a table which is built from searching another table b4 the report is opened. Then after the report open call is made it also updates some text boxes with data on the report....

the chart data may come from anywhere (simply cut and paste from the query you r using, it will automatically link to that query, and update accordingly) so if you are having it refer to some text boxes on your report to populate I dont understand...

The Chart data is got from a table which is built up using consolidation queries i.e counts and sums of another table. Each Chart uses these tables as there source so the table is built like a chart datasheet. The text boxes hold consolidation info on the chart table like max, avg and totals.

The problem is in Access 97 I get this strange error

its really buggin me , I might just try and redo the report from scratch ....

ok what it SOUNDS like to me is that during the conversion something in/on/related to one of your queries/tables/report fields was either renamed/deleted/modified in some way.

I have converted several db's back to 97 and never came up with this error, although I HAVE gotten no data back before.

recreating it does sound like a pretty good option.

I would do it in a segmented fasion so as to be able to locate where that orig error was coming from

good luck

I'll post my findings once I get it working or the problem narrowed down
