I am modifying a form in Access (2000) and must have made an error in the VBA code. Now it won't open at all, in design or run mode. Is this a common problem, and how do you get round it? When I try to open it, it simply does nothing (no error messages etc) and when I try to open it from another form, I get error 2001: you cancelled the previous operation.

I've actually developed the same error. No matter what allowances or tests I attempt in my code, I continue to get the Error: You Cancelled the Previous Operation. It occurs every time I execute code. It come up twice in a row and then I get a run time error on the action I tried to run (OnExit, OnClick, etc.).

For instance, I have a login form when you open the app. I HAD code that changed the userID to all caps OnExit but every time that was called, I get the 3 errors. So I removed the action and code. Then when I click on LOGIN I get the same 3 errors OnClick.

I can't seem to get around this. It started to occur when I was testing a new feature deeper in the app so I exited and went back in. I was able to get through the Login and to the same point I left off but then got the error again. So I Compacted & Repaired and now I can't get past the login.

PLEASE HELP!

Sorry to bring bad news, but I ended up going back to a previous version and re-doing the work. It isn't too bad if you can get hold of most of the code if it's held in a module or whatever. I also found that some of my other forms were doing the same thing. I don't know if I had manage dto corrupt something.
