Form Error: Table Open Through User Interface

I am getting an error I've never seen before when I attempt to open up a pop-up form for a record:

"The table 'tblTableName' is already open exclusively by another user, or it is already open through the user interface and cannot be manipulated pragmatically."

I am the only user in the database and there are no other forms open, other than the man form that I am attempting to launch the pop-up form from.

Can someone explain what causes this error?
