hi,
I have created a template document with a number of check boxes, combo boxes and text boxes from the form toolbar.
Once the form is locked all controls work fine.
The user can then type in text but they cant change the properties of the text eg. Bold, Italic and font size etc.
They cant paste pictures into the feild either.
Is there a way to alter the properties to allow the above features.

Cheers
Eric

Bold/italic/etc....no.

Picture? You'll need to insert a section break (continuous) above the insertion poiint, and another below the insertion point. When you protect your doc for forms, hit the Sections button and uncheck the section number of where you want them to be able to put the picture.

Thanks for the reply, I hope to give it a shot today

Hi,I have tried it and I am having trouble finding the sections button.
Question thou! is there a better way to place controls on a form 'check boxes' etc. I tried to create one with visual basic controls and found it to be unstable. It does give the user flexibility thou in properties of the text.
thanks agian

Checkboxes. They are covered in the link I gave you. Don't use controls. Use only the Forms toolbar, and I think you'll be fine. Properties of the text is explained too.

Let me know if you need a sample.
