is there a way to reset it or change it without restarting a new virtual machine?

what password are you talking about? What VMware product are you using? What guest OS are you talking about? Some details might help. :-)

i jsut uninstalled and reinstalled.... i am using xp on both... MWare ace workstation.... and the administative lockout
