Check out The demo version they list there will show you the first two letters of your password.
If that doesn't do the trick for you, go to Google and search for access password. I found lots of links there.

There's one little detail........I got the password, but since that database was made with de 97 office and I just installed the XP office, the password I have seem's to have no right to convert to the new access version, so I got no way to work with the file.
