Foreign Parts

Everyone knows that the Asian market gets just about everything before the western markets do. Is there compatibility issues between using imported parts with western market parts or is hardware hardware and only normal issues apply?

Generally speaking, I'd say there aren't any compatibility issues, as most of the hardware sold from western markets is made in places like Taiwan, Korea, etc. However, I would be careful of completely unknown brand names.

I think "Cavaet Emptor" is an appropriate phrase here...
