We are setting up a disconnected network and are trying to use the Forefront Server Security Management Console to push out virus signatures to Exchange 2007 servers. We have this operational in the test network which has an Internet link. As the new network has no outside connections to the Internet, virus signatures are copied from the test network to the Management server manually.
While it's possible to copy signatures to a share and point clients to that share for updates, I want to be able to push them from the Console, as opposed to a pull from the client. Does anyone know how to set this up?
Copying the cache directory from test to the prod server does not work. Creating an FTP site and copying them there and telling the console to get them from there does not work.
Microsoft have not been much help as yet, and cannot tell me if the Management Console even works in a disconnected network yet.
Has anyone got this working?
Thanks,
Cam.
