Hi again tipsters,

does anybody here tried or has had any experience in forcing the pagelength and width of a report?

I have a laser jet printer as the default printer, I know that I can easily do this using the Custom paper setting, however, with the HP Laser jet, I can create a custom size paper unlike with using the dot matrix printer.

Is there a way that I can do this programatically?

you might ask why I want to do this, I want to do this so that when I convert the report into word, the word document will retain the size that I wanted and not the default size of the printer paper.

Dave, I think word will open the document based on the settings that document has, like if that document uses a pagelenght different from the printer it will open that document based on that pagelength.

I tried exporting a report having the settings of dot matrix where I was able to change the pagelength during the design, ran it and have it exported to word. Fortunately the document retained the settings it has in the frx and when i opened it in word, it only shows from top upto the required pagelength.

I dont know if its a fluke or what.
